给它一份独特的风味- 苹果派

早晨送了孩子上学,我又回到房里,继续的睡。一般的我是不会过这样的日子,但今天实在是不行了,身体绝对的抗议,也许我真的要好好的睡一下下。再醒过来时,已经是中午12点,算算这下该够了吧。坐下来瞄到了那大大袋的苹果,唉呀,这样好浪费。。。加上老公昨晚问为什么没搅苹果汁来喝。。。


做了塔皮,后来发现皮不是很够用。算了,上层就用千层酥皮。

材料Ingrediant


200克面粉 2大匙奶粉 1/4小匙盐 125克冷牛油 3大匙冰水
200g All purpose flour  2 tbsp milk powder  1/4 tsp salt  125g very cold butter  3 tbsp ice-cold water

做法

  • 将面粉筛过,加入盐,把整片牛油放入面粉里,再用刨刀将牛油刨细,混匀后加入冰水。

  • 搓成面团后用保鲜膜包起,冷藏30分钟。整形。
Method

  • Sift flour and salt, mixed. Dip the whole butter into the flour.  Place a grater above the flour, grate butter, mixed grated butter with flour to resembles fine breadcrumbs.  Add cold water

  • Kneadtill smooth, Wrap wpastry with plastic food wrap, chill for 30 min.

  • Roll out the pastry, trim edge.

苹果馅
1/3 to 2/3 cup sugar   1/4 cup all-purpose flour   1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon  Pinch of salt   8 medium sized apples (a medium apple = about 1 cup) 2 tablespoons margarine

Method
Peel, core and slice the apples. Try to keep the size of the slices even.

Mix sugar, flour, nutmeg, cinnamon, and salt in large bowl.

Stir in apples.

Pour into pastry-lined pie plate.

Dot with margarine.

Cover with top crust and seal the edges. Cut slits in the top.

Bake 40 to 50 minutes or until crust is brown and juice begins to bubble through slits in crust.


OPTIONAL: Cover edge with 3-inch strip of aluminum foil to prevent too much browning.

Remove foil during last 15 minutes of baking.

看到吗,$0.19/kg, 你能不买吗?加上是和老公孩子一起去商场,结果你能想象吗,三个人就选了很多很多的苹果,然后很开心的说,OMG,Mummy look at these apples, they are so cheap, I never came accross this price.   所以我家就有了很多很多的苹果。看来要煮苹果汤,苹果菜,苹果焖肉,苹果汁。。。。。。。。。。

  3. Sonia, it is very cheap, n the kiwi fruits were even worst, $0.09/kg, but we didn't buy coz green kiwi is a bit sour :) the pie taste good

  5. Really cheap. Is it Pink lady? Gabriel loves Pink lady & Fuji. He can eats 7 a day. So, normally we will but in boxes. Your apple pie looks great!

  7. I love gala apple. We can get it about 1.50 for 5 apples. So you use the gala apples for apple pie? Looks so yummy.

  9. Ann, when the fruit is in season when normally will get good bargain. but this is really the first time selling in this type of price. Yes, used the gala for my pie.
